Ms. Vassos is also from the Rogers organization where she was most recently managing editor of Flare magazine.

Weekly Scoop will be a separate operating division of Toronto Star Newspapers Ltd. (TSNL) which includes the Toronto Star, thestar.com, Torstar Syndication Services and workopolis.com (jointly owned).

Ho yea! A new “Celebrity” magazine. That is EXACTLY what Canada needed. Because, you know… We really need to know more about Jennifer Lopez new boyfriend...

If you understand French, you HAVE to listen to last year conference of Jean-François Leroy. He is a photojournalist and he founded Visa pour l'image. One of the main topic he is speaking of is this kind of magazine Vs photojournalism press. It's a wonderful but too short one hour.

War photographer action figure! So realistic. It comes with a Mark II, a 70-200 2.8 (or maybe a 200 1.8?), a 16-35, a laptop and everything. I know what I want for Xmas!

Can this comment:

No other reasoning can be drawn except that the picture was meant to cause pain and humiliate. You should be ashamed for your self for what you have done

And this one:

Thank you for being there and capturing the moment

Relate to the same picture? Yes. Read the story on sportsShooter!
View Article  First test with a Light meter / Premier test avec un posemètre

If you want to be a pro, act like a pro. I bought a Sekonic L308S light meter. I tested it this evening, and here is the result.

I first took a picture, metering with the built in light meter of my Canon D20. I shooted at ISO 100, 1/160th at f5.6. The result is not too bad, right?

I then take an incident meter and I’m a bit surprised. According to my light meter, my first picture is two steps overexposed. I follow the guide and shoot at 1/250th, still at f5.6. The result? Vivid colours, wonderful light.

I now have a new best friend.
