He main article is an interview with Yann Arthus-Bertrand, the French photographer who did the well known book "Earth from above". Many pictures from his book are reproduced. If you can’t buy it, take at least the time at your newspaper stand to have a look at those photos. They worth to be seen.

Si vous ne pouvez acheter la revue, essayez au moins de jeter un oeil sur ces photos dans votre kiosque à journaux. Elles valent la peine d'être vue.

7,99 $ CDN. Un spécial sur l'Alaska, des trucs pour des photos d'hivers et un bon article sur un homme qui s'est autopublié. Ce n'est pas leur meilleur numéro, mais il vaut tout de même la peine d'être lu.

At one time, he got into the bush near the [UN] distribution station. He heard some cry of kid. A little girl squatting in the dust was desperately trying to reach the supply center. Realizing her end was near, a vulture landed near the kid. Carter took a couple of picture of the little girl and chased the bird away.

Latter one, friends of Carter told that he was very affected by what he saw, but the picture touched the public opinion.

In June, Carter went to New-York to get his Pulitzer. Congratulated by his peers, he was at first enchanted but, when he got home, he felt depressed.

The photograph left a letter where he explained his money problem and how he was obsessed with images of dead body, mass killing, famished kids and cadavers that was haunting him. He also said that he wanted to be with his friend Ken again [a photographer killed while covering a civil war]. Carter was 33.
